Yes, This feature will be very helpful. Also, you cannot drag and drop the element when they are added to the canvas. Could you please checkout https://unlayer.com/ and bring in all the features of them. Also, you can take inspiration from Fluent CRM for their automation canvas. It very intuitive compared to the existing one.

You can click the up/down handles to move sections around, trying to picture what you're referring to with not being able to drag and drop things otherwise.
